Helping cultivators put innovation into practice
OSA COCO CUBES are organic products derived from processing coconut husks. Using the remains of the coconut, coco cubes are created by transforming the fiber from the coconut shell into eco-friendly plant cubes. This process involves aging, washing, rinsing, buffering, drying, grading, and compressing. These steps are necessary to change the physical and chemical characteristics of coco coir so that it is suitable for plant growing. The washing and buffering processes accomplish different goals. While washing removes only elements that are soluble in water, buffering also removes elements which are naturally bound. OSA COCO CUBES have a very low electrical conductivity (less than 0.3) and are 100 percent biodegradable.
OSA COCO CUBES are used as a hydroponic medium growing cube, a benefit for anyone who wants to start an organic crop. Simply plant seeds or a product in the cube and hydrate with the desired nutrient solution. Made of coconut coir and non-woven fabric bags, the cube will replace petroleum based plastic pots, bases, and trays. Although plastic products are lightweight, durable and can be recycled, they generally end up in the trash, causing harm to the environment. Plants in biodegradable bags such as COCO CUBES are now a great alternative for the environmental consequences of plastic and rubber.
Coconut coir is well known for its ability to provide good aeration, which is excellent for plants. Coconut coir professionals also advertise its ability to absorb 10 times its weight in water. When coir is used in hydroponic systems with nutrient solution, the roots absorb these nutrients more quickly than in soil mixtures. Used as a cultivating medium, your plants will require much less watering. Among the benefits of coir is also its neutral PH. Although coconut coir professionals generally recommend mixing the product with other plant amendments, they can also nbe directly cultivated.
They also have anti-fungal properties which will minimize insect and disease problems.Coconut coir is also relatively inexpensive, especially in its compressed form. Once soaked, it will expand almost twice in size. This makes it a lightweight, easy-to-transport plant substrate.
